  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste

  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas.
  2. In a food processor, blend the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt until smooth.

2. Stuffed Grape Leaves (Dolma)

3. Labneh

Labneh is a tangy strained yogurt dip perfect for serving with pita bread. You need:

  • 2 cups plain yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Olive oil, for garnish
  • Fresh herbs (like thyme or zaatar), optional

Instructions:

  1. Mix the yogurt and salt in a bowl.
  2. Place a cheesecloth over a sieve, pour in the yogurt mixture, and let it drain in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
  3. Once thickened, transfer to a serving dish, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle herbs if desired.

4. Muhammara

This flavorful red pepper and walnut dip will add a kick to your meze selection. Ingredients needed:

  • 1 cup roasted red peppers
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon pomegranate molasses
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Blend all ingredients in a food processor until smooth.
  2. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
