Step 3: Cook the Tomatoes

Step 4: Simmer the Sauce

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally. This allows the flavors to meld together and the sauce to thicken. If you’re using oregano, add it during the last 5 minutes of cooking.

Step 5: Final Touches

Once the sauce has reached your desired thickness, taste and adjust the seasoning as needed. If you want a smoother sauce, feel free to blend it with an immersion blender. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
